If you're like me, Biscuits are life. Being British, you are basically raised on Biscuits as a kid. So it can be pretty rubbish moving to a Gluten Free Vegan lifestyle. Well that was 3 years ago, there are so many to choose from now!
Having lived off of Custard Creams for my childhood, being without them has been tough. So you can imagine my delight when fellow Vegan Ruth told me about the range of Biscuits that Morrison's have to offer in their Free From range.

Sandwich Biscuits:
Custard Creams (Morrison's)
The Custard Cream is a true British classic, I feel like I was raised on big Tesco packets of them. Probably eating far too many when my parents weren't looking, they are just so moreish!
These Biscuits taste just as good as my memory serves. A crispy, crumbly sweet Biscuit that melts in the mouth with a creamy and custardy smooth icing. If that's what you call the filling. I don't think I've ever spoken about a Custard Cream filling on it's own before! I guess what I'm trying to say is that these are the real deal, if with the slight signature Gluten Free grainy texture.
Jam & Cream Biscuits (Morrison's)
Like the classic Fox's Jam 'n' Cream Biscuits, these smaller and intolerance friendly versions are equally as tasty. Jam 'n' Cream Biscuits are on the same line as Custard Creams from my childhood. I've got to say it's neck and neck, but that extra bit of Jam makes them more of a treat like a Jammy Dodger than just a Biscuit.
These ones are just as amazing, the Free From part really doesn't seem to have taken any quality away in them at all. One of the most Biscuit like Gluten Free Biscuits I've had. You can see that Morrison's have really done their research into perfecting the recipe. The Jam is definitely the best addition, I would even go as far as to say they are my favourite.
Cocoa & Vanilla Cream Wheels (Morrison's)
These are the Oreo style Biscuits, that are not only accidentally Vegan like the real deal, but also intentionally Gluten Free. Making it finally something I can enjoy. I wasn't a huge fan of Oreo's growing up. I did the tourist thing and bought the fancy flavours when I took a trip to America in my teens but it wasn't something I've really craved. After all, the Biscuit part of Oreo's aren't the tastiest! Some joke it tastes more like Charcoal, yum...
These Free From "Oreo's" are pretty good, from memory they taste pretty much like the American equivalents. The Cream definitely makes the Biscuit, I still don't enjoy the Biscuit on it's own. I guess that's why they say to dunk Oreo's, that makes it more edible! They are my least favourite Sandwich Biscuit from Morrison's, but still good for when I'm feeling something more Chocolatey.
All of the Morrison's Biscuits are Free From Gluten, Wheat, Dairy, Egg and Soy. Making them safe for most intolerances. They also come in a handy pack of 2, which really helps keep them around for longer. I'm known for opening a full packet of Biscuits and then before I know it, they're all gone! We're all guilty of it, I mean you're not a Biscuit lover if you haven't. So fair play Morrison's, fair play.

Rich Tea Biscuits (Sainsbury's)
These are my favourite plain Biscuit. They were my go to for a long time, before supermarkets begun to recognise Intolerance needs more and more. These are more crunchy and have a sweet flavour to them, compared with their Digestive Biscuit sister. Making them a great addition to a cup of your favourite brew, Black Earl Grey tea is my preference!
When I'm not feeling well, these are a great snack to keep me eating alongside the typical grown-up-in-England bottle of Lucozade to go with it!
Chocolate Chip Cookies (Sainsbury's)
These are by far the best Chocolate Chip Cookies off the shelf in the UK (can't compete with American Cookies!). The Chocolate Chips in them are more like chunks and there are plenty of them. The biscuit is tasty, not dry or too crumbly. A good combination of Cookie to Chocolate ratio, plus the price means they're good value too, they'll only set you back £1.30 or at the moment just £1! Very tasty for a Cookie that is Gluten Free and Vegan!
Chocolate Chip Biscuits (Nairn's)
I practically used to live off of these when I was travelling with work a few years ago. They come in a pack of 4, as the Biscuits are quite small, making a good mid morning or coffee break snack. I love dunking them in a cup of tea, it melts the little bits of Chocolate ever so slightly and makes the Biscuit a little soggy. Delicious!
They actually make a good on the go breakfast with a bit of fruit as well. I used to rush around quite a bit when I was travelling with work, plus breakfasts in hotels aren't particularly Becki Friendly so these were great. You can get them pretty much anywhere as well, which definitely helps. Plus their range has a variety of flavours, so you won't get bored.
Who knew you could write a blog about Biscuits? Well, when you love to find the best replicas and don't ever want to miss out on delicious treats you definitely can! Hopefully, you guys have found some good Biccies too. You definitely need to get your hands on the Morrison's selection, it's the best!
