The Mae Deli is a cafe in London created by the author of Deliciously Ella, a book with recipes for those who are living a vegan and gluten free lifestyle. Anytime I am in London, I try to visit one of her cafes for lunch or a cake.
Staff:
This cafe is a counter service, the food is already prepared so you select what you want and take it with you there and then. Although minimal interaction with the people there, they were all friendly and helpful.
Food:
The Deli always has an option of about 4 different complete dishes and a create your own bowl option as well, the complete dishes are the better ones to go for as they have been thought out with what goes together well. I went for a create your own the first time, although delicious, I got a bit excited and went for a mound of food that were not all that well matched!
The last time I went there, I had the sweet potato, quinoa and cauliflower combination. The sweet potato was absolutely incredible and the highlight of the dish, it definitely reminded me that I should cook the recipes from the book!

Allergies/Intolerances:
This place is great for people with food intolerances, however it doesn't rule everything out such as soya or sesame so it is always best to still make the people working there aware of any additional allergies. Although it is a great place for people with allergies, you can't do your research before going as if you look at their website it isn't completely 100% clear what is in each dish. But apart from that, it is one of my favourite places to eat when in London.
